As part of the university day celebrations and in the presence of the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Saddam Faleh Al-Jubouri, and Dr. Abeer Fawzi Murad, the Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, the Department of Life Sciences organized an exhibition on waste recycling. Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim stated that pollution resulting from solid waste is one of the most significant problems facing the world, specifically in Iraq. Therefore, appropriate solutions are needed to address the large quantities of waste. He added that one of the adopted solutions that has contributed to minimizing pollution and protecting the environment is solid waste recycling. A group of fourth-year students from the Department of Life Sciences, including Samaa Shuaib, Zahraa Ameer Khalil, and Aylaf Obaid Mohan, organized and presented a recycling exhibition showcasing solid, cardboard, and plastic waste. The purpose was to spread awareness of this practice within the community and enhance environmental consciousness among students, aiming for its future application.
