The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Naim Al-Abedi, has decided to reopen the application portal for the morning (private) government education channel and increase its seats by 15% from the central admission plan to accommodate students who have not been accepted or have not applied earlier. According to a statement from the Ministry of Higher Education, the decision includes opening the electronic application portal for the mentioned channel to students who graduated from the academic year 2022/2021 exclusively and providing them with the opportunity to reapply and increase the study seats by 15% from the central admission seats for the academic year 2023/2022. The decision also states, according to the statement, to adopt the minimum limits for the first batch in medical specialties, while allowing applications for other specialties according to the specified criteria, which stipulate that the applicant's GPA should not be less than four points below the minimum admission requirement for the engineering group colleges, five points below the minimum admission requirement for science colleges, and six points below the minimum admission requirement for other specialties.
